Not affiliated. Corrected NYC is a private company. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for the City of New York, HPD, DOB, OATH or the ECB.
Not legal advice. We provide public-records information and paperwork preparation. We are not a law firm and nothing here is legal advice. If you need legal advice, ask an attorney.
You sign and file. We prepare it. You sign and file. You are the owner or the owner's authorized agent, you review everything we prepare, and you are responsible for what you sign and submit to the City. We do not sign for you and we do not represent you at OATH hearings.
No guaranteed outcomes. Agencies decide whether to dismiss a violation, accept a certification, reduce a penalty or close an item. We do not promise any result, timeline, penalty reduction or dismissal date. Amnesty eligibility shown on this site is a possibility to verify, not a determination.
Fees are separate. Our price covers our paperwork and tracking only. Repairs, engineers, permits, fines and city fees are separate. Our fee is for our paperwork and tracking. Repairs, engineers, other licensed professionals, permits, fines, penalties and City or agency fees (including the HPD dismissal fee) are paid by you and are separate.
Quotes. The instant quote is an estimate based on public records and our pricing rules. Items that need a licensed professional first, items with a hearing pending, and items we cannot classify get a custom quote. A quote is final only when we confirm it in writing after review.
Acceptance. How it works: we send you a written scope with the price for each item; you accept it by typing your name; then you pay by card or invoice when each fee comes due. Nothing is charged before then.
When our fee is due. DOB items: our fee is due only after DOB receives your filing, shown when the DOB NOW: Safety request shows "Pending QA Admin Assignment" after you, the owner, have attested. We send you the request number and a screenshot the same day. HPD items: our fee is due only after HPD receives your filing, shown when USPS Certified Mail shows "Delivered" to HPD at 345 Adams Street. The tracking number and the delivery date go on the invoice. The $150 case setup fee, when your quote has one, is due once, with your case's first DOB fee, never up front. A case with only an HPD Dismissal Request has no setup fee. The setup fee is refunded only if no DOB filing in your case is accepted. Every case is priced per item. A case with 5 or more filings also gets a closing status report for your attorney, included at no extra charge.
Redo or refund. If an agency rejects a filing because of a paperwork defect we caused, we redo it free or refund our fee for that filing. For an HPD Dismissal Request this also covers a rejection for a registration or litigation issue we were paid to check.
What "accepted" and "closed" mean. "Accepted" means the agency's own record shows that it has received the filing and has it in its queue, on the first date that record shows it: for a DOB/ECB filing, the DOB NOW: Safety request status "Pending QA Admin Assignment"; for an HPD Dismissal Request, the request on HPD's record for the building or an HPD inspection notice for it, whichever comes first. A rejection or deficiency notice is not acceptance. "Closed" means the issuing agency's own public record shows the violation or summons closed, dismissed or resolved, on the date that record gives: HPD Online for HPD violations; DOB NOW or DOB BIS for DOB violations; the OATH/ECB summons record for ECB summonses. A paid penalty alone is not "closed". Agencies decide closure on their own timeline. "Accepted" and "closed" never trigger or delay our fee (see when our fee is due); they are the milestones we track and report to you until the record shows closed. (Draft wording, pending attorney review. Not final terms.)
Records can be wrong or late. Open Data can lag the agencies. Check the agency record before you rely on it.
